But first, our NEW NCZ website has just been awarded the Carbon-conscious Website Accreditation by the Eco-Friendly Web Alliance. This means every page view emits less than 1 gram of CO2, and we’d like to extend our thanks to Robbie Mould and the team at RJM Digital for helping us achieve these standards!

Let us know what you think…

Making our website carbon conscious was incredibly important to us. Yes, the internet may play a crucial role in modern life, but it has a significant carbon footprint, contributing to 3.7% of global emissions – a figure comparable to the aviation sector! So, we’re delighted with this accreditation!

If you’d like to learn more about what makes a low carbon website, the importance of them, and how you can create one, read our comprehensive guide here.

And get in touch if you’re curious about your business’ carbon footprint…

Embedding sustainability into the very fabric of your business makes commercial and environmental sense, and there’s no better time than the present to join the growing number of businesses taking their responsibility seriously.

Sustainability Tip

This month, it’s all about getting started on your journey to net zero.

It may seem daunting, but breaking the process into actionable steps makes it manageable and helps you demonstrate your commitment…

    1. Do a carbon audit: Before you can reduce emissions, you need to understand your carbon footprint and where the emissions come from. As carbon measurement specialists, our team can help you with this and we have various options for all budgets.
    2. Set clear measurable goals: Once you have an accurate baseline for your business’ carbon footprint, you can then establish targets that will demonstrate your commitment to sustainability and your year-on-year achievements.
    3. Incorporate sustainable practices: This includes everything from reducing waste, increasing energy efficiency, transitioning to renewable sources and optimising your supply chains. Start small and build up.
    4. Engage your stakeholders: Keeping employees, suppliers, and stakeholders informed and involved ensures collective responsibility and enthusiasm for the shared journey ahead. You’ll always achieve more when everyone does their bit, so keep everyone in the loop!
